Take an Asheville Brewery Tour
From the famous New Belgium Brewing Company and Sierra Nevada Brewing Co. to several smaller local breweries, Asheville knows beer. And as a guest of Asheville Glamping, we want you to share some of our local favorites with us. We’ve curated a list of brewery locations in town you need to visit while you’re our guest.
Asheville Beer City USA
Asheville has become the craft-brewing center of the Southeast, with Asheville beer garnering so much enthusiasm it was named the winner of the Examiner's "Beer City USA" poll four years running. Boasting more breweries per capita than any U.S. city (roughly one brewery per 8,000 people), Asheville is home to 16 craft breweries. On any given day, you can enjoy about 50 local beers. Each brewery has its own unique atmosphere and personality, and the same could be said for the beer.Learn More
Asheville Beer Festivals
The Best Firken Beer Festival — Held in April by Asheville Brews Cruise
Asheville Beer Week — Held in May, this contains an entire week of events dedicated to celebrating Asheville beer. See their website for exact dates as the event comes closer!
Brew Grass! September — Each year in the beautiful mountains of Western North Carolina, Brew Grass gathers over 40 American breweries to showcase more than 120 different beers. They add a great lineup of national and regional bluegrass musicians that, in the past, has included such notables as Cadillac Sky, Carolina Chocolate Drops, The Infamous String Dusters, Dry Branch Fire Squad, J.D. Crowe, The Osborne Brothers, Norman Blake, Tony Trischka, Jim Lauderdale, Valerie Smith, Tony Furtado, Yonder Mountain String Band, and Sons Of Ralph. They also feature a variety of area food vendors and plenty of water.
Oktober Fest — Oktober Fest transforms downtown streets into a traditional German party featuring tastings from local breweries. Live “oompah” music and local foods complete this fall tradition.
You need to try this wicked-cool 13-person pedal-powered (motor-assisted) vehicle like no other. Imagine riding your bike (sideways) and hanging out at your favorite pub (on wheels). Ridiculous? Of course! Your chariot awaits!
Don't feel like being active while enjoying your beer? Go for a relaxing cruise instead — a Brews Cruise! These beer lovers cart you around to several awesome Asheville breweries where you can sample some delicious beer and make some friends with similar interests.
